All the cry about environmental degradation is useless, unless, the next generation, today's children take lead in  living our daily lives in environmentally responsible manner. 

Dr Arpita Singh is working with the local children of Dehradun to raise awareness among them through various creative activities and interventions in daily lives and locality.

01 Jun 2003: Polythene exhibition at Indirapuram, Dehradun.

7 Jan 2003: Collection of Seeds, viz., Papaya, Orange & Cheeku, etc. at Indirapuram, Dehradun.

14 Jan 2003: Making Paper bags with the help of Lehi. 

Started using cloth bags to bring items from market.

18 Jan 2003: Paryavaran Prahari members started giving plants to each other as Gifts.

Some of the good quality plants brought by a group of environment lovers (Sunder, Keshav, Ramesh & Ashok) from Bangalore were planted at different locations in Dehradun.

20-21 Feb 2003: Neem Plant was planted at Public Park, Phase II, Indirapuram, Dehradun, INDIA and its responsibility was taken by Mr Jagdish & Mr Arora. 

06 Nov 2003: Another Neem plant was planted in the same park as above and its responsibility was taken by Ms Anita Agrawal. 

One Cheeku plant was planted at Mr Shukla's house, Phase II, Indirapuram, Dehradun. 

Another Cheeku plant was planted at Ms Satya Chauhan's house, Phase II, Indirapuram, Dehradun. 

1 Jamun and 1 Cheeku plants were planted at Mr Prem Singh's house at Prem Nagar, Dehradun. 

1 Jamun plant was planted at Public park, Phase II, Indirapuram, Dehradun and its responsibility was taken by Ms Parul Chawla. 

07 Nov 2003: One Amrood (guava) plant was planted at Phase II, Indirapuram, Dehradun.

One amrood plant and one plant of mosambi were planted at Ms Meera Rastogi's house at Tilak Road, Khurbura, Dehradun. 

Many plants of Tulsi were given to some other families.

10 March 2003: Knowledge enhancement session through books,viz.,

15 May 2003: Children's groups participated in Parthenium eradication program. 15 Children were divided in 4 groups for the purpose. A few adults also joined willingly.

15-16 May 2003: Children and adults went to see exhibition at "Minor forest product office" in two groups but due to an unpleasant situation on the 2nd day, groups left the exhibition immediately.

17 May 2003: Mr Dhaundhiyal, an environment activist (from Ranipokhari, Rishikesh) gave some important tips regarding Parthenium eradication to APP members.

Essay Competition (for class VI-VIII Students)

Topic: Ped - paudhe aur hum 

The winner was given 'Money plant in a water pot' as a prize. 

06 Mar 2004: All those who parrticipated in the above Essay competition, were taken to Annual Flower Exhibition held at Raj Bhawan, Dehradun, INDIA. 

26 March - 08 Apr 2004: In Khushion ka Shivir kids visited plant nurseries, temples and Dairy farms at GMS Road, Dehradun.

Children learnt to prepare Organic manure from organic waste.

Mud toys were made by kids. 

05 Dec 2004: Children performed an environment play "Hamara Sankalp (Vriksh bachao)" with the help of plants.

16 Jan 2005: Children performed 2 environmental  plays, viz., 

1) Kele ke chhilke and 

2) Petrol bachao
